ATHLETICS ESSENDON

VICTORIAN YOUTH AND OPEN RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

03/02/07-04/02/07

Congratulations to everyone that competed at the Victorian Youth and Open Relay Championships at Doncaster on the weekend. Athletics Essendon won 12 GOLD medals, 7 SILVER medals and 7 Bronze medals. The highlights of the meet were both Daniel Martin and Peter Krstic wining 3 Gold medals each, while our men's and women's open relay teams should be commended on their efforts on wining 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals between them. Overall it was a wonderful performance by all athletes from our club and hopefully we can do even better at the Victorian Open and Youth Relay Championships held between 23 and 25 of February 2007.
