We have had a good start to the season with strong results in the first two events. In the cross country relays Div 1 finished 5th, Div 3, 9th, Div 6 won (not quite enough runners for a complete Div 7 team). Congratulations to the Div 6 team. Standout performances included Liam Adams 17.50 400m runner Brett Maurer's run in Div 6. and good strong performances from just about everyone else with many runners either improving on last year or showing signs of getting stronger after sickness or injury. At Lardner Park the Div 1 team finished in the medals in 3rd and Div 3 team finished 8th. Standout performances at Lardner Park were Ryan Geard's 27th (Ryan is still very much eligible for Junior races), Walid A Kurtu's 19th was a very significant improvement compared to last year and a very good run in the Div 1 team from new to the club Jeremy Drake. The next race is at Sandown. It is the 10k road race on Saturday 29 May. For those who haven't got a season's ticket please make sure that you enter with AV by Monday the 24 May.
